The Constructicon Alignment Workshop 2022 (CAW 2022) will welcome representatives of projects, labs and research centers building constructicons – computationally implemented construction grammars – for Brazilian Portuguese, English, German, Japanese, Swedish and Russian. The purpose of the workshop is to foster discussion on the use of cross-linguistically applicable representations for connecting constructions across languages. The workshop will address how cross-linguistic alignment of constructions may be handled in practical analysis. Discussions will be oriented by a recently proposed linking model based on Comparative Concepts and Frames. A key feature will be a focused discussion of how such a model may be applied to a particular group of related constructions.

CAW 2022 will comprise invited talks, group discussions and hands-on analytical sessions. Although there is no open call for papers, the workshop is open to the public and registration is free.

The Constructicon Alignment Workshop 2022 will be hosted at Gothenburg University, Campus Lorensberg, located at Renströmsgatan 6 in Gothenburg, on December 8th and 9th, according to the following schedule. This is mainly an in-person workshop, but some of the sessions will be made available for online participation. Information on how to access the web conference system will be provided to registered participants before the workshop.
